I always thought the idea of a hijab and dressing modestly was to detract attention from a Muslim woman. How are wearing bright and fancy clothes helping this? I am not saying one should dress like a slob, but let us revisit why do things in Islam.
This is fantastic. Just as there are different opinions, there should be different options for Muslim women to express themselves through their clothes. The more the better. Thank you for sharing this.

The purpose of the fashion show is to provide sisters with an outlet for Islamic entertainment and motivation to dress modestly. The event will raise money to create a scholarship for Muslim students who cannot afford the Nashville International Academy. Please become a participant of this inspirational event and attend the meetings to become a volunteer.

This is really dumb. This is not modest. Follow the Quran and Sunnah people, don’t try to imitate. Either wear the hijab properly or not.
Some people are assuming that modest hijab means that the colors shouldn’t be bright or shouldn’t attract attention…the point of hejab is to cover your adornments…as long as the body isn’t overly exposed…hijab is legit….
