BRAMPTON – Canada’s diverse communities, neighbours, friends, and families of the Haitian community are coming together to raise funds for the earthquake devastated Haiti on Friday, January 29th at 7pm at the new Chandni Gateway Convention Hall, 5 Gateway Drive in Brampton, ON.

The evening will bring with it a speaker from MSF, the Haitian community, a slideshow of the most recent update of the work on the ground, followed by dinner and entertainment, all starting at 7pm.

The massive earthquake that struck the Caribbean island of Haiti has left around 200,000 people dead and many more seriously injured. Homes lie in ruins. An estimated 1.5 million people are homeless with most still living out on the streets or tents.

There is an urgent need for emergency food, clean water, shelter and medical care for those whose lives have been shattered by this tragedy. Another estimated 20,000 will die if more aid does not reach them in time. Money from the tickets will go directly to the medical attention required in Haiti through MSF Doctors Without Borders www.msf.ca

Everyone can help by coming to the event, bringing their friends and family and learning about how they can help most.

Many local politicians and representatives of government will be present to show their support and solitude for Haiti
